About:

Erika Jacobsen is a Seattle-based dance educator, choreographer, and performer with over 10 years of teaching experience and more than 20 years of dance training. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Commercial Dance from Pace University in 2016, where she received comprehensive training in contemporary, jazz, musical theater, commercial dance, improvisation, and performance.

Erika has performed and choreographed for a variety of artistic projects and dance companies throughout the Pacific Northwest. Her diverse professional background allows her to work with dancers at all levels, from beginners seeking a strong technical foundation to experienced performers preparing for auditions, performances, competitions, or collegiate dance programs.

Through private instruction, Erika offers personalized coaching tailored to each student's goals, learning style, and experience level. Her teaching emphasizes technical excellence, artistic development, musicality, performance quality, and injury-conscious movement practices. She believes that meaningful dance education supports the whole dancer, fostering confidence, creativity, body awareness, and sustainable growth alongside technical achievement. Erika is committed to creating a supportive, encouraging, and professional learning environment where dancers can develop their skills, deepen their artistry, and build a lasting connection to movement.
